What Does Conceiving Feel Like?

Can you feel when an egg gets fertilized?

What is implantation? Pregnancy happens when an egg is fertilized by sperm in the fallopian tubes. Once fertilized, the cells start to multiply and grow. Although some women report feeling cramping or pain during the implantation process, not everyone will experience this symptom.

What are the symptoms of fertilization?

Many early pregnancy symptoms can appear similar to routine pre-menstrual discomforts.

  • Tender, swollen breasts. Your breasts may provide one of the first symptoms of pregnancy.
  • Fatigue.
  • Slight bleeding or cramping.
  • Nausea with or without vomiting.
  • Food aversions or cravings.
  • Headaches.
  • Constipation.
  • Mood swings.

Can you tell if you conceived right away?

While some pregnancy symptoms start very early, most of the time, you won’t notice anything right away. Other than a missed period, pregnancy symptoms tend to really kick in around week five or six of pregnancy. This is about two weeks from when you missed your last period or six weeks since you actually had a period.
